Now sometimes I think that all Republicans are “scary” and wrong for the future because they are against the 99% of the American People and are too quick to send us into war; but Ted Cruz might be the scariest yet, and ever.
On March 9, 2016 Thom Hartmann on his radio show had the following topic: “Why Ted Cruz is even scarier than Donald Trump…” (http://www.thomhartmann.com/blog/2016/03/wednesday-9-march-16-show-notes).
Thom talked about the “Divine Lie Concept” where among dominionists (https://www.quora.com/Is-Ted-Cruz-a-dominionist and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology) the “ends justifies the means.” So any amount of lying, stealing, cheating, and even violence will be forgiven at the End Times. Just bring about the grand Rapture. A finger on the Red Button and “Mutual Destruction” of the the World? It is just one step in the process (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/02/14/does-ted-cruz-think-he-s-the-messiah.html). Remember this was the rumor about Sarah Palin’s main motivation to be Vice President—to bring about the end of the world and be reunited with Todd, Track, Trig, Trey, Trog, and Trap.
Ted Cruz’s father, an evangelist preacher, talks about the End Times Redistribution of Wealth and how his son Ted, has been anointed by God to be King of America (http://www.religionnews.com/2016/02/04/ted-cruzs-campaign-fueled-dominionist-vision-america-commentary/). Seems like the last guy they called King, George Washington rejected that title because we had just fought a war to rid ourselves of the chains of King George.
The other preachings of Daddy Preacher is that the King (his son: http://crooksandliars.com/karoli/rafael-cruz-declares-son-ted-cruz-anointed-) will lead a “redistribution of wealth” to those in need and take it from the power brokers who have had it too long (I think he means Jews here).
Thom says these are the Christian version of the Taliban. Because they seem to incite violence to achieve their means. Remember the “ends justifies the means.”
Will the “King” get traction? Maybe, look at the other choices: Emperor Donald Trump, Al Gore Kasich (because he is espousing a lot of the 1996-2000 accomplishments of Al Gore’s Reinventing Government), and Corporatist Marco Rubio.
Today, March 13th, Ted Cruz on the Sunday Talk Show circuit, is speaking out on the violence and hate speech at Donald Trump rallies. In my mind, I visualize him thinking: “save all that anger for me when we can put it in a movement to bring about the fabled End Times by killing all the Jews until we coral them into Israel and only have 144,000 left and we force them to bow down to me and make them convert to Christianity to bring about Revelations prophesized Rapture” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture).
Go back to the government shutdown in 2013 (The Theology of Government Shutdown: Christian Dominionism: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/morgan-guyton/the-theology-of-governmen_b_4020537.html); when Cruz read from Dr. Seuss books in a mockery of what government does. This disrespect for the very job he was elected to do should disqualify him to be elected as a dog catcher. But yet it fuels the crazies amongst us. Even unreasonable Steve King in Iowa backed him (http://www.salon.com/2016/02/02/ted_cruzs_radical_supporters_he_won_iowa_on_the_back_of_the_scariest_bible_thumpers_in_the_business/).
Ted Cruz argued in front of the U.S. Supreme Court nine times. Four times was the record before. One time is very rare amongst the nation’s top lawyers. Why did he do it? Why did he take cases that were clear losers? Why did he argue to keep a man imprisoned for 28 years more than necessary for a petty crime—stealing a calculator? To a dominionist winning or losing, or following government rules, or legal protocols—clearly doesn’t matter (http://www.rawstory.com/2016/01/ted-cruz-argued-before-the-us-supreme-court-nine-times-heres-what-happened/). Like the logic of a rabid dog or a pyscho-killer leaving a trail of mutilated bodies—the ends justifies the means or more properly the End Times is all that matters (not compassion, truth, charity, peace or even the love of your fellow man; or any Christian value we should embrace—it is all about killing the rest of the America—in fact, the “world” that doesn’t believe your crazy religious views). In Ted’s crazy eyes you are expendable.
This is a very scary time —when we could have a King Ted Cruz; anointed by insane voters.
Here is a new post that say America was better before Christianity became a political party: https://www.facebook.com/Liberals.Unite.today/photos/a.354975407920296.85172.353967728021064/992909137460250/?type=3&theater. I commented that: It is not a political party but a world domination.
Now we should all be allowed to worship in our own way or be free from the religious pressures of others. That is what America was founded on. It was NOT founded as a Christian Nation as the GOP talks about so often. So what if this Ted Cruz person was elected? Wouldn’t a Christian person leading us keep us out of wars, restore charitable principles, and steer us in a good moral direction? Well, NO. Cruz is NOT a “regular” Christian. His brand requires ALL people to submit to him and to convert to his exact teachings or they won’t be saved. Now here is the unclear part, his brand requires all the nonbelievers or non-practitioners to be “eliminated”—now whether it is the fires of hell, a nuclear destruction of the planet (which the American Commander-in-chief can easily do—I think this is the fastest and most clearcut way of achieving the Cruz family goals)—is not clear but the elimination of people is definitely by killing them. Not but segregating them or asking them to move away—because this would not achieve the perceived goals of Revelations. Lots of fire and brimstone in there. So it would technically be impossible for Cruz to be our elected leader and for him to remain true to his religious faith…..
Yeah that is right, you the reader and myself must die in order for the Cruz Prophesy to be fulfilled. As a leader, will he be able to completely suppress his deep religious beliefs (that he is “King”) to do the job of President of the United States? So will he be a religious phony or a presidential phony; that is the question? This is why we have separation of church and state; a concept Cruz refuses to endorse. This makes him the most dangerous candidate probably ever.
Trump would be a Reagan figurehead and he would “Hire the best” to do the actual work. The country would struggle on but definitely not recover. Under a Cruz presidency total collapse would be a cherished thing.
An interesting thing to think about is that Mitt Romney’s Mormonism really didn’t come out as a major campaign issue. I mean asking him if “his religion would prevent him from doing his duties as President” in a question at a debate against Obama. Sure there was rumors about his magic underpants and his role as a Mormon Church Bishop and how they take a pledge to put religion first even in front of all governments—but these things were never front and center. He did a lot of charity but it was all tied up with the Mormon Temple like a Mafia network (the Church picks and chooses Mormon-owned businesses to fund). The questions in people’s minds were probably the margin of victory of Obama.
But Mormonism is a strange religion and somewhat secretive up there in Utah. They have different views and believe that a group of “supermen” (think planet Krypton) came to Earth to found their religion and then they have an “End Times” theory also.
So when will Cruz’s religious “extremism” catch up with him? Or will he skate by like Mitt?
We in American society are polite. We don’t criticize another person’s religion (or politics or wealth); especially when we find out they are different than our own. But sometimes when they are destructive to the rest of us—we must speak out. We know GOP religious nuts are vicious and very misguided like Cruz. Just take Dr. Paul Weyrich – “I don’t want everybody to vote” (the Goo Goo syndrome video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GBAsFwPglw). Weyrich taking money from Coors beer started the religious right’s movement and its vicious tone (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Weyrich). So religion really has no place in politics or for that matter GOVERNANCE—like Cruz is attempting. Even as Cruz runs he secretly suppresses his true religious agenda. It is weird and beyond the religious teachings of normal religions. Yet, we are too polite to call him out on it. But shouldn’t the man-made destruction of the planet for religious goals be exposed for the preservation of man-kind? Much like we are calling out the fossil-fuel destruction of the planet by Climate Change.
The handling of Rattlesnakes , also called serpent handling, is a religious ritual in a small number of Pentecostal churches in the U.S. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_handling). It is viewed by most of America as crazy or revolting and not the norm of any religion. So what is the difference between this and Cruz’s secret religious views?
Say you the reader are a very devout Christian, maybe of the Evangelistic variety (probably GOP). In the Ted Cruz scheme of things you must bow down to him the King and accept him as your saviour and if you don’t you are burned by the fires of Hell. How does this fit into your beliefs? The only way he can achieve this fantasy is by being elected President. Want to change your vote now?
Ted Cruz and his lovely speaking wife are on Good Morning America on April 17, 2016. What a dynamic couple to occupy the White House—or NOT?
Ted Cruz says he wants to return the country to a time when Reagan’s leadership led the greatest wave of prosperity by creating jobs cutting taxes and eliminating regulations. The way he will do this is by instituting a Flat Tax and eliminating the IRS. Sounds really great but it just won’t work. Every economic (and many social) problem we have today can be traced to the “Voodoo Economics” (George H. Bush’s description) of Ronnie W. Reagan starting in 1981.
True, the rich got richer; and the gap between the rich and poor got wider than almost any time in our history and the Middle Class shrank. So how is this progress? Oh yes, the rich will get richer!
The Flat Tax is proven to lower the taxes of the rich and spreading that tax burden to the rest of us; so this is a non-starter to any thinking voter. Taxes must be Progressive.
The call to eliminate regulations is very dangerous. Where do you start? Child Labor laws? This would make a lot money for the rich and would save society money in the short term as children drop out of school to work and “make their fortunes” (yeah right, become “wage slaves” starting at a earlier age). Maybe eliminate clean air and water regulations making it easier and cheaper for factories to produce products. Just pour your pure waste into rivers and then the poor can no longer fish for their food. The rich will get richer!
Those good jobs manufacturing, installing and maintaining cleaning systems are eliminated. So how is this progress?
Ted Cruz, for and by the Rich! Not the People. Cruz a millionaire becomes a Billionaire and the king of the World. Right on you idiots voting for him!
All very true and, WOW, I have to hand it to you THAT is some intense research. TRUSted is everything the founding fathers were (thinking) they were preventing when they came up with the idea of the constitution and how they worded the rules about religion.
Since we never know what’s truly in a man’s heart, we can only assume that this is as ridiculous as he could get. But there is proof when we take what he says, and look at it rationally, that we may only be seeing him like an iceberg (10% ABOVE water and 90% below) and that would scare the hell out of anyone that is not as addicted to Christianity as he is.
There’s a term for that kind of religious delusion, it’s called “the super-irrationality of religion”. (From the book by Marshal Brain, How God Works, a book I believe should be required reading for everyone over the age of 14).
I thank you very much and society is better off with more people (and writers) like you and your dedication to the truth.
Can I assume that you might also, as am I, be an Atheist?
I would love to share this on my blog @ JBAServices.wordpress.com…….
Feel free to share. I was raised by two Sunday School teachers and when my younger sister died at age two my parents said this is definite proof there is no God. I am now a Catholic by marriage and raised my two children that way. But the Ku Klux Klan in Indiana under D.C. Stephenson (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._C._Stephenson) who was the presumptive Republican Presidential candidate use to burn Catholic churches and hang Blacks and Jews. So I’m sure King Cruz would persecute Catholics.

We need to remember how his preacher daddy corrupted his mind. https://williamhenrymee.wordpress.com/2016/03/13/scary-king-ted-cruz/. So that everything Trump does with the Russians is fine as long as it destroys the world and makes Ted the King and new Messiah.

Lying Ted Cruz is up to it again: https://www.facebook.com/ijrresponse/videos/2001573020099253/
So even he has become “just another government liar”:
Ted Cruz Gets Instant Fact-Check on Claim He’s Always Opposed Government Shutdown
Dear MoveOn member,
Progressive champion Beto O’Rourke is looking unstoppable in his campaign to win the U.S. Senate seat now held by Ted Cruz! Three new polls out last week show Beto is within single digits of Cruz—leading The Dallas Morning News to say that “a seismic political shift is underway in Texas.”1
It’s because Beto is running a bold, people-powered campaign. He’s not taking money from PACs and has visited all 254 counties in the state to hear directly from voters. Beto is making issues like universal health care the heart of his campaign.2 And while Cruz is relying on big Republican donors, Beto is out-fundraising him with hundreds of thousands of grassroots donations.3
Even Cruz now admits the race is a “dead heat” and is warning his supporters they “can’t let Texas turn blue.” He’s clearly worried. And he just launched three false TV ads attacking Beto.4
We need to make sure Beto’s campaign has the resources to fight back.
Will you chip in $3 now to help Beto beat Ted Cruz and also to help my Senate colleagues Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin and Sherrod Brown in Ohio, who face tough races against right-wing candidates?
Yes, I’ll chip in right now.
Pundits say we can’t end GOP control of the Senate this year.5 But 2018 is about defying conventional expectations in the fight for the soul of our country.
The respected Cook Political Report just shifted Texas out of the “likely Republican” column, saying that Beto “has made incredible progress.”6 That’s huge.
But coming close to Cruz is not enough. Beto needs to win. Texas could be the tipping point that ends GOP control of the Senate. But Texas is a HUGE state, and only about half of Texas voters have formed an opinion of Beto so far—which is why he’s ramping up his campaign in a big way right now to reach more voters.7 Will you help out?
Yes, I’m in! I’ll chip in $3 right now to help Beto defeat Cruz and end GOP control of the Senate.
Meanwhile, in Ohio and Wisconsin, progressive champions Sherrod Brown and Tammy Baldwin are facing an avalanche of Big Money attack ads.8,9
These are two states that voted for President Obama twice but went to Trump in 2016—states where we absolutely must win to end Republican control of the Senate this year and to win the White House in 2020.
More important, Sherrod and Tammy have been in the trenches for years fighting for working people. They know what it’s like to take on the Republican attack machine and win without sacrificing their principles. To stand up to Trump, I need them with me in the Senate.
These three states epitomize the battle for the future of this great country—one traditionally red state that’s rapidly changing and two long-time swing states where working Americans are looking for champions who will fight for them.
And if we win these three races, we will have an excellent chance of ending GOP control of the U.S. Senate. Will you chip in $3 right now?
Yes, I’m in! I’ll chip in to help defeat Ted Cruz and end Republican control of the Senate.
Thanks for all you do.
–Senator Kamala Harris
