When Ronnie Raygun was running in 1980 he said: “There he goes (you go) again” when debating President Jimmy Carter and Carter was so demeaned he could no longer win.  This was from an unqualified politician who could only sway fed up public opinion by being bold and calling a very good man and level-headed President—ineffective and weak.  This must of been the training ground for Donald Trump.

So Donnie Trumper said in a Tweet (is he capable of more than 142 characters?) that his first reaction to Army father Khizr Khan’s passionate Democratic National Convention speech was to question Khan’s wife’s silence, implying Ghazala Khan wasn’t allowed to speak during the speech because she is Muslim (http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/donald-trump-questions-army-father-s-dnc-speech-wife-s-n620241). That is that Muslim men have their women in complete and utter submission (and somehow this justifies war against them).

But what is the truth?  Did Trump (running for a position where your fingers are on the nuclear codes) go off half-cocked again? Well, yes…..

Ghazala Khan explained to MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell on Friday that she was anxious during her husband’s speech, knowing her son’s photo would appear behind her.

“It was very nervous, because I cannot see my son’s picture and I cannot even come in the room where his pictures are, and that’s why when I saw the picture on my back, I couldn’t take it. And I controlled myself at that time, so it is very hard,” she said.  Khizr Khan also noted to O’Donnell that he could not have spoken at the DNC without his wife’s close support.

But this is not the first time Donnie Trumper misspoke or “opened his mouth and inserted his foot” during this campaign:

He is in fact, offensive to everyone that is not beholding to him for a job, or in his inner circle, or on the world stage like someone he wants to suck up to: like Valdimer Putin.  He treats people like garbage.

Why are his supporters following him and worshipping him like a two-bit dictator.  You know that if they were alone with him in a room he would say to their face:

  • I’ve never seen such big ears that stick out;
  • That nose is so big and red we could use it as a search light;
  • man are you an ugly woman;
  • talk about being fat;
  • that is a lot of wrinkles you look like one of those Chinese dogs.

He is really incapable of taking people as they are and looking past their faults or inadequacies.  This is usually the first step in world-wide negotiations—to look beyond religion, past history or local customs and see what you have in common.

This is not a leader but a circus clown.

This level of discourse is bad for American politics and may lead to violence.  The followers of Trump are goaded into taking their frustration with the economy out on the people Trump blames for the state of America: Mexicans, women, Muslims, the Disabled, etc.  People here are seemingly as desperate as those in 1933 Germany.  Who knows what evil can be done under an authoritative leader?
