From David Robins:

Trump, his cabinet, and the Republican Party have taken the heart and soul from America.

Racism and racist remarks and actions seem to be overlooked, stripping the medical insurance and retirement from hard working and retired Americans is being paid for by big corporations who BRIBE U.S. CONGRESSMEN. So much is being done that is wrong, not just unjust or illegal, it is wrong to take so much from working Americans and their families and give it to the ultra powerful and wealthy. Where is your self respect Trump, why have you hired people who will destroy our air quality, our clean drinking water, poison the soil and let our children and veterans live in poverty and despair. You and your wrecking crew are putrid and evil bags of shit. I hope some punishment worthy of your crimes against America comes to you, I hope it’s horrible and lasts a long long time.
The federal week in review (January 8, 2017):

1. Trump fires all Ambassadors and Special Envoys, ordering them out by inauguration day. This is unusual in that it’s expected for these individuals to resign from one Administration to the next, but these diplomatic staff were all told to vacate their posts by Inauguration Day.
2. House brings back the Holman rule allowing them to reduce an individual civil service, SES positions, or political appointee’s salary to $1, effectively firing them by amendment to any piece of legislation. We now know why they wanted names and positions of people in Energy and State.
3. Senate schedules 6 simultaneous hearings on cabinet nominees and triple-books those hearings with Trump’s first press conference in months and an ACA budget vote, effectively preventing any concentrated coverage or protest. This also creates a scheduling nightmare for Senators who want to be sure they both attend or take part in these hearings, and be present for votes as well.
4. House GOP expressly forbids the Congressional Budget Office from reporting or tracking ANY costs related to the repeal of the ACA. Why? What are they afraid of?
5. Trump continues to throw the intelligence community under the bus to protect Putin, despite the growing mountain of evidence that the Russians deliberately interfered in our election. He completely ignores the fact that it’s the act of interference that is the core issue, not who won or lost.
6. Trump breaks a central campaign promise to make Mexico pay for the wall by asking Congress (in other words, us, the taxpayers) to pay for it.
7. Trump threatens Toyota over a new plant that was never coming to the US nor will take jobs out of the US
8. House passes the REINS act, giving them veto power over any rules enacted by any federal agency or department–for example, FDA or EPA bans a drug or pesticide, Congress can overrule based on lobbyists not science. Don’t like that endangered species designation, Congress kills it.

We – progressive, liberal, libertarian and conservative – need to all wake up to what is actually happening to our beloved country.

Wow!  Thanks David, sure puts it in perspective.  In just one week and the President-Elect hasn’t even taken the oath!  Seems Congress is embolden beyond the scope of their November 8th small victory (based on 2010 Gerrymandering and the disenfranchisement of 7 million voters by GOP Secretary of States, according to Greg Palast).  Seems they are ready for complete and total right-wing nut-job dictatorship.

People are already in the streets on January 15th, will they continue their activism?  Will anyone else pay attention?  Or just hurry up before 2018, when it is all reversed?  Trump is boasting his first hundred days will be a reward for his supporters (like the Roman saying goes: “to the Victor goes the Spoils”).

Seems a good course of healing should be in store for America, first.
